Job 31:23

23For I was ain terror of calamity from God,
and I could not have faced his bmajesty.

Psalms 77:2-9

2 cIn the day of my trouble I seek the Lord;
in dthe night my ehand is stretched out without wearying;
my soul frefuses to be comforted.
3When I remember God, I gmoan;
when I meditate, my spirit faints.  Selah
4 You hold my eyelids open;
I am so htroubled that I cannot speak.
5I consider ithe days of old,
the years long ago.
6I said,
Hebrew lacks  I said
“Let me remember my ksong in the night;
let me lmeditate in my heart.”
Then my spirit made a diligent search:
7“Will the Lord mspurn forever,
and never again nbe favorable?
8Has his steadfast love forever ceased?
Are his opromises at an end for all time?
9 pHas God forgotten to be gracious?
qHas he in anger shut up his compassion?”  Selah

Psalms 88:15-16

15Afflicted and close to death from my youth up,
I suffer your terrors; I am helpless.

16Your wrath has swept over me;
your sdreadful assaults destroy me.
